Altnets had recently gone through a rebrand where they had created a new logo, full colour palette as well as graphics. The old website was dated and no longer reflected the new brand, so they approached us to create them a new website to resolve this.

What they wanted

Altnets had recently undergone a full rebrand which included new logo, colour palette, graphics and interactive animations. Along side this they had also developed a new message ‘follow the light’. The team wanted us to take this new branding and messaging and create them a highly interactive website, that stood out from market competitors.

What We Did

Discovery & Branding

During the discovery phase we looked into the companies competitors to see how we could make them stand out. We gathered all the new branding and elements and thought about how we could use these to convey their new ‘follow the light’ messaging. We also looked into interested ways we could display content that we could animate to increase user engagement.

Wireframing

We created detailed wireframes for the site so we could build out the structure of the pages and develop the user journey.

Design Breakdown

Design was really where this site came to life. We developed the idea of a ‘squiggle’ that would move through the site on scroll. This would create an engaging feature for users once we moved into the development phase and began to animate this. We wanted to make sure the site felt like it flowed, so we used a solid background for most of the site and continued the squiggle in different sections to make it feel like it was going off the screen and coming back in.

Animations

Development Breakdown

In development we used CSS, JS and 3JS to bring the animated features to life. A lot of the interactivity had been considered in the design phase. So development was about put these ideas into action. We included videos, scroll interactivity, mouse hover functionality and more.

How did we make Altnets unique?

What really makes this site different is Altnets amazing branding. The team came to us with a considered brand concept and lots of amazing assets to use. With a combined vision of how the site would look we were able to bring Altnets vision (and ours) to life!

Ongoing Relationship

Altnets currently host the site with us and have a care plan, we keep in contact on a regular basis to discuss the site and how we can evolve and improve it.
